Besides the obvious (cleansing wounds), did you know that it is probably the best remedy to dissolve ear wax
? Yep, and it also is used around the world to prevent the flu. Atheletes also use hydrogen peroxide to build stamina.
We heard about this practice years ago. Apparently it is a common practice in India and Germany…
During flu season, fill the cap of a bottle of hydrogen peroxide with the liquid, lay down on your side, and pour it into one ear. After a few seconds, the liquid will bubble. Lay with the peroxide fizzing for 5 or 10 minutes, then shake the peroxide out. Repeat on the other ear.
This remedy is supposed to cures colds that are already in progress - causing the symptoms to begin to clear up within a few hours.
We heard about this treatment from an ENT (Ear Nose Throat) MD and have practiced it for years. We love it! We have passed the practice on to friends who have in turn passed it on their friends. However, before you try it, check with your doctor first!
NOTE: For safety, don’t do this treatment before flying. Make sure there are a few days between the treatment and getting on a plane. Also, do not try this remedy if you have existing ear or jaw pain — it may make the condition worse! If you have any doubts about trying this remedy, don’t try it… Contact your doctor first and get his/her opinion.
“Hydrogen Peroxide is the most over looked chemical used by man. New uses of it are coming to light every day. Bad bugs be they, in your garden or your body, they cannot live in an oxygen rich environment.

How long should you wait before flying to put it in your ears? I’m flying on Mar. 15 and today is Mar. 6. Is that long enough?
