TIME MANAGEMENT TIPS FOR BUSY MOMS

Filed under: Health & Lifestyle, Time Management — WorkerBee @ 1:32 pm

If you are like most moms I know you think to yourself, at least once a day, “I wish I had more time!” Most of my clients come to me at some point asking how they can get more hours in the day. Unfortunately, the truth is you can’t. There are only 24 hours in a day and it is impossible to make more. That being said, there ARE ways you can cheat and create more time for the things you want to do.
1. Prioritize! This one is especially important if you are prone to procrastinating or starting something and never finishing it. Each morning you should make a list, written or mental, of what needs to be done for the day and list them in order of importance. This can be done just as you’re getting out of bed or while you’re having your morning coffee. If your mornings are already hectic I suggest getting up a mere 3-5 minutes early because that is really all you’ll need to make this list. If you’re not a morning person you can also make a list right before bed the night before but then I suggest it be a written list so you don’t forget anything. When making your list, try and be aware of how your body reacts. When you think of #1, your most important thing for the day, does you body contract? Do you feel nervous or tense? If that’s the case then maybe it needs to be broken down into more manageable parts or baby steps. Don’t try to do too much all at once or you’ll end up getting nothing done at all! You might also consider making a second list of less important things that could be done in 5-10 minutes increments. This way, when you have a few minutes to kill between activities you won’t fall into a “black hole” (see #2). Get that little bit of dusting done, throw the clothes into the dryer or make that hair appointment during your down time.

The parent omega-3 - alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) - is described as ‘essential’ as, like vitamins, it must be obtained from diet. It is polyunsaturated and has 18 carbon atoms and 3 double bonds (18:3). There is no doubt that the omega-3 fatty acids are essential to health.

INTUITION

Filed under: Health & Lifestyle, Self Improvement — WorkerBee @ 10:07 pm

Did you ever get a feeling or gain notion of a specific situation without any logical explanation? Well, that is your intuition. When you least expect it intuition reaches out and hits you with information that you have no idea were it came from. The problem with this type of feeling or knowledge is that we have no logical explanation for it and often do not follow what it’s trying to tell us. However, many find that when their intuition is over looked, it later proves itself to be a fact and regret not following it. Well, I will tell you about what happened to me when I ignored my intuition.
When I gave birth to my second daughter I had just moved to another state. Therefore, I did not have a pediatrician for my daughters. But, my Doctor and a nurse both recommended one and I followed their advice.

WHY DO I ALWAYS PROCRASTINATE?

Filed under: Health & Lifestyle, Time Management, Self Improvement — WorkerBee @ 10:06 pm

Often times we procrastinate because it just seems like so much WORK to get what we want! We just don’t feel like the rewards justify everything that needs to be done to obtain those goals.
Other times we procrastinate because we feel like we can’t have what we really want so we settle for something less than we truly deserve.

Life should be and CAN be fun!

Take a moment, close your eyes and think about what it is that you truly want. Then ask yourself WHY you want it. Then ask yourself again, what is it that you REALLY, REALLY want?

WILL YOU BE PART OF THE BIGGER PICTURE?

Filed under: Health & Lifestyle, Positive Thinking — WorkerBee @ 5:50 pm

With all the media attention you’ve probably become aware that there is something huge going on in the world, but are you part of this bigger picture?
Day-to-day you’ll be busy contributing to your household: cleaning tidying, earning money and taking care of your partner’s and your children’s needs as best you can. On a home front you’ve probably got it sorted. The thing is, when you flick the TV on and catch the news occasionally, the images of this bigger picture flash up.

Inner-Views of an Inspirational Author With Heart. Nearly every day in our lives, if we are out and about, we will run into people who are unpleasantness, obnoxious and downright nasty. It could be on the roads, in the supermarket, in the workplace or any other location where we come into contact with people with differing views.
Perhaps those people see us as unpleasantness, obnoxious and downright nasty and maybe sometimes we are, knowingly or unknowingly, the agitators.

WELLNESS AFTER 30: GETTING THE MOST OUT OF LATER LIFE

Filed under: Health & Lifestyle, Positive Thinking, Self Improvement — WorkerBee @ 5:48 pm

How do you define your Wellness? How does it show up in your life currently? About 15 years ago, I ask myself these questions many times. When I was in my early thirties, I watched my body, my health, my emotions and my sense of “self slip away. I did not know what it felt like to wake up with a purpose and the will to move forward. I wanted to get a handle on my life and find a better way of living, one that would enhance the quality of my life as I aged.
After researching, soul searching, educating and defining what was important to me, I’ve come to believe that incorporating wellness habits into your life on a daily basis is the key. I recognize that wellness is unique to each person; it encompasses every aspect of your life and requires work, determination and commitment to bring about change. The change needed to bring balance and harmony to your life. This means wellness is a choice. What an enlightening discovery, I thought. Once I realized that it was a choice, I found a way to tap into my “self “strength and saw a time of change as an opportunity to be a better me.

THREE STEPS TO BETTER INTUITION

Have you ever used your intuition to solve problems? Can you trust your intuition? Can you improve it?
What Is Intuition?

Intuition is simply a feeling , sense, or hunch based on information not available to your conscious mind. Some say this comes from the ether or wherever, but I’m content to believe that our minds have a lot more going on in there than we know.

How can Gary Kasparov win a chess game against a computer that can calculate positions many moves further ahead than he can? By using his intuitive grasp of the game. His experience allows him to combine analysis with a “sense” of which move is best.

HOW DO THEY DO THAT?

Filed under: Health & Lifestyle, Positive Thinking, Self Improvement — WorkerBee @ 11:24 am

“How’d they do that? I asked myself time and time again in my youth.
As a journalist and documentary filmmaker, I witnessed ordinary people performing extraordinary feats on countless occasions. I documented individuals in moments of crisis and emergency going beyond the limits they and society believed possible. Caught up in earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and accidents, I watched mild-mannered people become super-heroes.
